We recently caught up with Nazeem to understand how he is using Archistar to kickstart his property development business.
What problems were you dealing with before Archistar?
“As an almost brand new part-time developer, with only a couple of small duplexes under my belt, I have limited time and resources to invest in property development. I used to spend hours and hours outside of my normal work time searching for potential development sites, then cross-checking these properties with multiple websites to ensure appropriate zoning and council regulations, such as Realestate, Domain and the VicPlan website. I then had to separately perform feasibility calculations from scratch each time.
In addition to this, I was spending an incredible amount of time understanding development activity in different suburbs as well as market demand and demographics. And then finally – figuring out manually how many dwellings I’d be able to fit on the block, which meant I’d be performing manual, amateur rough sketches – based on information I’d find from council regulations after trawling through pages and pages of documents. In hindsight, it was nuts. I could never keep up with full-time developers, with long-established relationships with agents in the area, let alone the time and staff I could not afford.”
How has Archistar helped?

What’s your favourite feature?
“Rapid Assess is genius. It’s made up for not having long standing relationships with multiple real estate agents across Melbourne. It basically gives me the heads up as soon as a property on my watchlist (that took minutes to compile) came on the market. Which means I won’t miss out on profitable sites.”
